The Alaafin of Oyo Empire, his imperial Majesty Oba Dr
Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III, today took time out his hectic schedule whilst in
London, UK to attend Larry Ekundayo’s training session this afternoon at Lime house
Marina Gym, London.
His imperial Majesty Oba Dr. Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III trained
and fought as a boxer before his ascension on to the throne of his forefathers.
Recollections of the long career in boxing come to light as the current African
Boxing Union welterweight Title holder Larry ‘The Natural ‘ Ekundayo of Nigeria
presented his belts to His Royal Majesty Dr Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III.
His imperial Majesty Oba Dr. Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi III
showed off his pugilistic prowess and got into the ring with ABU champion Larry
Ekundayo for an impromptu sparring session and photos were taken. See more
