The bill to check mental disorderliness sponsored by PDP member
representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Buruji Kashamu, has passed its first
reading in the upper chamber today.
The bill if passed will be titled, Mental Health Bill 2015. The
bill is expected to tackle source, causes and effects of mental sicknesses.
It will be recalled that the Senator is currently being
investigated on issues relating to drugs which experts say remained one of the
major causes of mental ailments among the youths.
