The partner of a world-renowned concert pianist is being questioned on suspicion of her murder after she was found dead at their home with multiple head injuries. Natalia Strelchenko, known as Natalia Strelle, was found at the property in Newton Heath, Manchester in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police and paramedics were called to the house at 12.45am following reports that a woman had been assaulted. But despite efforts to revive her at the scene, Ms Strelchenko, 38, died a short time later.
Her partner, John Martin, 48, a double bass player who also acted as her manager, is understood to have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. The family home has also been sealed off. Sad.
