Bas Dost fears Wolfsburg's hopes of challenging Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title this season rest on Kevin De Bruyne 's decision to stay or join Manchester City .
Belgian attacking midfielder De Bruyne scored 16 goals and made 28 assists in 2014-15 as Dieter Hecking's men finished runners-up in the German top flight last term before then winning the DFB-Pokal. Dost, whose goals in the latter half of the previous campaign were pivotal in their second-placed finish, has no doubts that Wolfsburg would be weakened if De Bruyne seals his proposed £50
