Spokesperson of the Cameroonian army, Lt Col Didier Badjek has said that some Nigerian soldiers have fled into their country due to intense fighting with the Boko Haram militants.

The figure is put at around 480, with Lt Col Badjek revealing that the soldiers have all been disarmed and have been accommodated in schools as clashes continue in the border area of Gamboru Ngala, a town in Borno State.

Only yesterday (Sunday), the militants released a video in which they claimed to have set up an Islamic state in towns and villages they control in the North-Eastern part of the country.
