Abbey Clancy shimmies in ruffled mini as she reignites her ballroom chemistry with Aljaz Skorjanec for Strictly Live Tour

She’s currently preparing for the launch of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing tour, and there were clearly no last minute nerves on show when Abbey Clancy took to the stage for a dry run on Thursday.

The WAG will slip on her dancing shoes one more time when the tour launches at Birmingham’s NIA on January 17 for the first in a series of shows that will waltz her through England and Scotland before wrapping at London’s O2 on February 9.
Parading across the dance floor just 24 hours before the fun begins, fleet-footed Abbey appeared to be carrying on where she left off after triumphantly lifting the Strictly Glitterball with Slovenian hunk Aljaž Skorjanec.

The pair were on song once again as they went through a series of intricate dance routines during a photo-call for the eagerly anticipated curtain-raiser.

Abbey, 28, looked typically glam in a ruffled red dress with a sequinned sash as she followed her partner’s lead.

At one point the muscular dancer effortlessly raised her on his shoulders, his big hands gripping her elbows as she outstretched her arms.

Abbey continued a garish red theme by sporting a pair of strappy heels, while the matching red Alice band that kept her flaxen locks away from her face finished things off.
The mother-of-one was joined at the photocall by former Strictly contestants Natalie Gumede, Lisa Riley and BBC Breakfast presenter Susanna Reid, and they lined up alongside their hunky dance partners for a series of promotional shots at the cavernous venue.
However, the only 2013 finalist missing from the tour is Sophie Ellis Bextor, who is currently preparing for a singing tour instead.

Popular 2012 contestant Lisa Riley is back in the Strictly fold - but this time will be leaving the dancing to the others as she is hosting the live shows.
Fellow contestants Ben Cohen was also in attendance with professional dancer Kristina Rihanoff, as was actor Mark Benton, who was in high spirits as he stepped onto the ballroom floor in a ruffled red shirt.

However, there will be a face Strictly fans haven't seen for a while as 2012 contestant Nicky Byrne is being reunited with pro-dancer Karen Hauer.
Earlier this month Abbey praised footballer husband Peter Crouch for his support as she danced her way to victory on the last series of Strictly Come Dancing.
'I still don’t feel it’s real - it’s insane,' she said. ‘I am in shock because it hasn’t hit me yet. Peter has been incredible.
‘I couldn’t have done it without him. He’s literally doing all my roles, his own, doing his football every day. He’s definitely dad of the year.'
