Just yesterday HTC mysteriously decided to cut the price of its Vive VR headset by $100. And a new rumor from the company's home of Taiwan now sheds some light on why that may have happened. It turns out that a second generation Vive may be closer than we expected. We've already heard that HTC is working on a Vive 2, but a Taipei-based Central News Agency report claims the new VR headset will in fact be unveiled at CES at the beginning of January.
