Google has just announced the August security update for Android, but some device makers and carriers still haven't finalized the rollout of the July update to their products. Case in point: only today has T-Mobile started sending out the July update to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge units it's sold. After you apply the update, you'll be on the July 1 security patch level.
