Google has announced that it will be launching the Play Store carrier billing feature in India soon. The feature will initially only be available to customers of local carrier Idea Cellular, although it'd reasonable to assume other major carriers will also make it the whitelist eventually. "We are in the process of adding direct carrier billing to Google Play in India on Idea Cellular so that people can more easily pay for their favorite content," a Google spokesperson said.
