Nearly a month after the Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 started receiving it, the Marshmallow update has started hitting the original Shield Tablet as well, bringing Android 6.0.1 as well as the Android security patch for the month of March. A quick look at the release notes (click the Source link below) suggests that it's exactly the same update that hit the Shield Tablet K1 last month. The update should hit your device soon (if it hasn't already). Meanwhile, you can also manually check for it by heading to the Settings menu on the tablet. Source
