It's compatible with AT&T, T-Mobile and other GSM carriers in the US (so no Verizon or Sprint). The 3rd gen model is $180, it brings a 64-bit chipset and a 1080p video camera. However the 2nd gen model has stereo speakers and will be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow too. The savings are pretty significant...
