Lagosians under the umbrella of Movement for Democracy Change and
People's Rights, led by Comrade Raji Rasheed, today organized a peaceful
march, calling for the immediate sacking of the Minister of Interior
Affairs, Comrade Abba Moro and the Comptroller General of Nigeria
Immigration Service David Shikfru Paddang over the poor planning and
execution of the Nigerian Immigration Service recruitment exercise that
led to the untimely death of at least 20 applicants last Saturday across
Nigeria. They marched from Lagos State House of Assembly. The group
extended their condolences to the families of the bereaved and demanded
that each of the deceased family be paid a sum, not less than N50m as
compensation.
