She is due to turn 38 later this year
but Anna Friel isn’t one of those actresses who shies away from talking
about the aging process.
In fact the actress is remarkably frank when it comes to the topic and opened up to InStyle magazine about preventive measures she has tried and is planning on trying in the future.
She said: ‘As you get older you start thinking, ‘I feel better on the inside so why does everything else have to happen the other way round?!’’
The mother-of-one revealed that she had tried a vampire facial ‘only once’ – a procedure made famous by Kim Kardashian, that involves injecting a small amount of blood from your arm into your face.
The actress admitted: ‘Never say never to anything. I know older actresses in their mid-fifties who do the little…’ (she puts her hands up under her earlobes and pulls) ‘you know, each to their own.’
Anna, who has a daughter Gracie, 8, with actor David Thewlis, denied that she was freezing her eggs in an attempt for a child with her current partner – actor Rhys Ifans.
The pretty brunette is very close to her daughter, who recently accompanied her on a trip Africa where she filmed the documentary World Wide Fund For Nature.
Accompanying the candid interview Anna modelled a range of floral trends, showing off her slim figure.
In one image she wears a pair of silk pink shorts, with a matching bomber jacket with a large flower printed on it.
Another shot is racier, revealing a touch of sideboob beneath a printed maxi dress with gaping sleeves.
Looking rather seventies inspired the actress smoulders while wearing a retro visor over her brown locks.
The star will next be seen in The Heavy Water War – a Scandinavian drama set in World War II and shot in Norwegian, German and Ebglish.
In the drama she plays Captain Julie Smith, part of a covert British-Norwegian operation that stopped Hitler from developing an atomic bomb.
She is also set to star in a ‘political’ American TV drama Odyssey, playing a soldier caught up in a military conspiracy.
The role saw her going through ‘ six weeks of bootcamp training, putting on a stone and losing all (her) hair.'
