Justin Bieber would certainly like to think of himself as a daredevil.
So when the opportunity was presented to throw himself off a towering clifftop while on holiday in Hawaii on November 20, you just know the 19-year-old couldn't resist.
On a brief break from touring, the Never Say Never enjoyed a two-day sojourn to the picturesque island of Kauai, where he got his adrenalin pumping with a heart-stopping leap off the cliffs at Shipwreck Beach.
Not for the fainthearted, it's a
humungous drop into the pristine water below, which is situated in front
of the Grant Hyatt Hotel in Poipu on Kauai's south shore.
The beach itself is not recommended for swimming due to the dangerous shore break and lack of lifeguard station.
The hitmaker was joined by several male pals and a pretty brunette hotel rep for the outing, which also saw them take to the sand on ATVs.
The popstar looked completely
in his element as he slipped into a pair of bright red knee-length
shorts and discarded his shirt for the ocean plunge, having ditched his
grey T-shirt, matching shoes and black backwards-facing baseball cap on
the hike up.
Showing off his buff body, the teenager strutted along the sand with his multitude of tattoos on full display.
He also gave his adoring female fans a treat as he flashed his Ethika boxer shorts, which sat a good few inches higher than his low-slung trunks.
The Biebs looked a little
apprehensive as he surveyed the scene from the top of the cliff, before
mustering the courage to jump feet-first.
While paparazzi furiously snapped away during the afternoon, the singer also documented the shenanigans with his own photographer following his every move.
Justin couldn't have looked any happier after completely the feat, emerging from the water with a triumphant grin on his face and his wet hair slicked down across his forehead.
He roughly ran his hands through his
hair, styling his locks back into a spiky 'do, before rejoining pals,
one of whom was wearing a rather fetching red onesie and sneakers for
the beach outing.
His Hawaiian tour guide looked to be having a great time herself, despite not partaking in any of the activities, clad in her figure-flattering black and beige work dress.
While the holiday was the perfect chance to unwind and re-energise, it wasn't quite as carefree as it should have been, with police called to a scuffle between Bieber's bodyguard, Dwayne Patterson, and a photographer.
Patterson was booked for third
degree assault and fourth degree criminal property damage and released
on $3,000 bail, though the alleged victim refused medical assistance and
told cops he didn't have any injuries.
But the vacation had to come to an end, and on Sunday, the singer landed in Brisbane, Australia ahead of his eight shows around the country as part of his Believe Tour.
'AUSTRALIA on our way!' he tweeted on Saturday, before adding, 'Loving the Australian summer' upon his arrival.
