Mr Doyin Okupe, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public
Affairs, yesterday took full responsibility for the misinformation on
the 100+ abducted Government Girls Secondary students who were taken
from their hostel on Monday 14th in Chibok, Borno state by Boko Haram
men. He had issued a statement saying the military had released the
girls. It was later found to be
false. The girls are still missing.
